Review
Video Convert Premier is a multi-format video converter. It has one of the simplest-to-use user interfaces I have seen and an impressive support for video and audio files. Graphically, the application consists of a single window with the available output conversion formats at the top. There are eight buttons at the top, which correspond to the nine supported output file containers: AVI, MP4, 3GP, MPEG, MOV, WMV, RM, and SWF. Files are added to the user interface by dragging and dropping them or by clicking on the "browse" button. The application supports batch operations, so you can add as many files as you want. For each of the conversion profiles, you can click on "edit profile" which will take you to the conversion settings. There, you can change the encoding format, the video and audio options, tweak the conversion process a bit.
In my own testing, I was very pleased to see that files were converted quickly, quality was preserved very well and no video/audio sync problems were observed. The application has a preview window, but it didn't work for me, which made me doubt whether my files would convert successfully. But it just so happened that the preview window is the only thing that didn't work. Converted files were playable and of very good quality. |
